- How much does it cost to join?
- Joining Seya is free — you apply, build your profile, add services and upload proof at no cost. There's no monthly subscription. There's a one-time $99 CAD Founding Provider Activation, charged only when you submit your first service for verification, plus a 17% commission on each completed booking. As a founding provider you earn the $99 back — Seya waives its commission on your first completed bookings until the full $99 is credited (limited founding benefit).
- When and how is the Founding Provider Activation charged?
- It's a one-time $99 CAD charge, collected the moment you submit your first service for verification — payment unlocks that submission. It covers activation and review, is non-refundable if your service is rejected or you never take a booking, and does not guarantee approval, exposure, or earnings. Founding-cohort providers then earn it back as waived commission on their first completed bookings until $99 is credited. Once the founding cohort is full, later providers pay the $99 without the credit.
- When does the commission apply?
- The 17% commission is deducted from each completed booking automatically when funds are paid out via Stripe Connect. Cancelled or no-show bookings are not charged.
- Do I need a credit card to apply?
- No. You apply, build your profile and add services for free. The one-time $99 Founding Provider Activation is paid when you submit your first service, and after approval you'll connect Stripe so you can receive payouts and the platform can take its commission per booking.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. There's no contract. You can pause or remove your business profile at any time from your dashboard.
- Are there paid plans coming?
- Optional growth tools — featured placement, premium visibility, advanced reports, and multi-staff tools — are on the roadmap. The core plan will always stay free with the same flat 17% commission.
