Cookie Policy
Effective April 26, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Seya Inc. ("Seya") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and mobile experience (the "Platform"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device when you visit it. Cookies let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as login state, language, location) over time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them. We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels — for simplicity, we refer to all of them as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the Platform to work — e.g., keeping you signed in, securing your session, remembering items in your booking flow. These are always on; the Platform cannot function without them.
- Functional. Remember your preferences (location, recently viewed providers, theme) to give you a smoother experience.
- Analytics. Help us understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it (most-visited pages, search terms, conversion paths). Where required by law, we only set these with your consent.
- Marketing. Used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing and, where you have consented, to show you relevant content. We do not currently sell advertising space on Seya.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by services we rely on:
- Stripe — fraud prevention and payment processing.
- Supabase / Lovable Cloud — authentication session.
- Google Maps & Places — map embeds and location autocomplete.
- Email delivery providers — open / click measurement on emails you receive.
These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.
4. Your choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and booking.
- Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
- Location. You can deny or revoke location permission in your browser or device settings.
- Withdraw consent. Email us at contact@seyabook.com to update your cookie preferences.
5. Do Not Track
We respect the choices you express through your browser’s privacy settings. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals because no consistent industry standard yet exists for them.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Platform evolves. The "Effective" date above shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
7. Contact
